Welcome to South Africa! After clearing customs and immigration formalities, you will be met and transferred to the Protea Hotel Victoria Junction, conveniently located near the V&A Waterfront. The remaind of the day is at leisure.

Begin the day with your included scheduled tour of Cape Town, including a the cableway up to Table Mountain (weather permitting). We visit the country�s oldest building, The Castle (closed Sundays), and a short distance away, the Company Gardens, both historically fascinating and well conserved. Our drive continues past Parliament Buildings, City Hall and the Slave Lodge, and you�ll sense the depth of history via their distinctive architecture. Colonial then changes to colourful, as we move up the cobblestoned hills to the Malay Quarter, and marvel at the ice-cream colours of the quaint Bo-Kaap homes. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

You are just minutes from Cape Town's beautiful waterfront and surrounded by beautiful winelands and picturesque drives to the coast. These days are free to explore on your own or ask us to arrange an excursion into the winelands or out to the Cape Peninsula.

Day 5 Cape Town-Aquila Game Reserve | Meals: LD
Today, a private transfer takes you into the Southern Karoo for two nights of game viewing. Settle into your lodge at Aquila before heading out on your first game drive. You'll find the Big Five here: elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino. Back at the lodge, spend time relaxing around the large swimming pool or delving into a good book in the library.
Aquila Safari Lodge is a 4 star lodge in the Southern Karoo. The reserve is a 7,500 hectare conservancy in the southern Karoo, and home to the big 5 legends of the wilderness - elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino.
Aquila Game Reserve has two large swimming pools, each with a pool bar overlooking the reserve. There are large dining areas, and cozy cigar bars and lounges. Aquila has a library, curio shop and children�s entertainment area. .

Day 6 Aquila Game Reserve | Meals: BLD
Two game activities are included today. Your experienced Ranger will take you deep into the bush as you search for the Big Five and more. With more than 7,500 hectares to traverse on the conservancy, changes are great for seeing a wide variety of game, including ostrich, elephant, zebra and much more. Or, for the more adventurous, upgrade to an optional quad bike safari or horseback safari.
Aquila Safari Lodge is a 4 star lodge in the Southern Karoo. The reserve is a 7,500 hectare conservancy in the southern Karoo, and home to the big 5 legends of the wilderness - elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino.
