Creating journeys to extraordinary places is what United Travel Group (UTG) is all about. We believe that luxury can be affordable and that planning a vacation should be as easy and stress-free as the journey itself.
Reservations & Payments
A non-refundable deposit of $500 per person or 10% of the tour cost (whichever is higher) is required to book your trip. Some tour elements require higher deposits, earlier final payment and carry stricter cancellation penalties. These special terms will be advised at time of confirmation. All Gorilla tracking bookings require an additional, nonrefundable handling fee of $50.00 per person to request permit availability. Once permits are obtained, they must be paid in full and are nonrefundable.
Final payment is due 75 days prior to departure. If you book within 75 days of departure, the entire cost of your tour is due upon confirmation of your arrangements. Final documents are generally sent between 14-21 days prior to departure, provided full payment has been received.
Late Bookings & Changes
If you book within 75 days of departure, a nonrefundable “rush fee” of $100.00 per person will be assessed. Once your tour is confirmed, any changes you make 75 days or more prior to departure, are subject to a $100.00 per person change fee, plus any fees imposed on us by our suppliers. Changes made at 74 days or less before departure will be assessed actual penalties imposed on us by our suppliers, plus a $150.00 per person change fee.
Cancellations received 75 days or more prior to departure forfeit the deposit; cancellations received 74-60 days prior to departure forfeit 50% of the total tour cost plus any excess fees imposed by suppliers; cancellations received 59 days or less prior to departure will forfeit 100% of the tour cost. If you cancel any portion of the tour while in progress, there is no refund for unused services. We strongly recommend UTG's Trip Protection coverage to protect your vacation investment.
A Word about Singles
Our published per person prices are applicable only when 2 or more persons travel together in the same party. If you are traveling alone, additional supplements may apply. Details are available upon request.

The included meals are specified in each itinerary with the notation “BLD” (B=breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner) and are table d'hôte or buffet. Prices include all entry and park fees, hotel service charges and sightseeing/game drives as specified in each individual itinerary.
Not Included in Tour Prices
Tour prices do not include any airfares not specifically mentioned in the price chart or tour features; fees for obtaining passports, visas, inoculations; excess baggage fees, trip protection coverage, airport departure taxes, optional tours, any items of a personal nature such as beverages, laundry, phone calls, cables, or room service; excess mileage carried out at the request of the passenger or any other item not specifically listed in the Tour Features section.
The prices may be updated from time to time and are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to alter prices should inflation, cost of services, fuel, labor or material, or exchange rates fluctuate.
Changes to the Itinerary
We reserve the right to alter or modify the itinerary of any tour if schedules, security matters and/or events beyond our control make such alteration necessary.
Travel Documents & Health Requirements
All passengers require a passport valid for at least 6 months after your scheduled return home. In addition, at the time of printing, US citizens require visas for entry into Kenya, Tanzania, Egypt, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Non US-citizens should check with the appropriate embassy or consulate for entry requirements. Note: Visa and entry requirements are subject to change without notice. All passengers are responsible for ensuring they have the correct visas and documents. Malaria is endemic to many world regions and we suggest you review any required medications or recommended inoculations with your physician or travel clinic. If you are traveling to South Africa and visit and/or transit any Yellow Fever area, you will require a Yellow Fever vaccination for entry into South Africa. Yellow Fever vaccinations are also required for entry into other countries - consult your health professional for full information.
Travel carries some measure of inherent risk which the passenger must weigh, including, but not limited to: the hazards of traveling in underdeveloped areas; the forces of nature; accident or illness in remote regions without means of rapid evacuation. Bookings are accepted on the specific condition that United Travel Group, Inc., (a Delaware Corporation based in Blue Bell, PA) and/or its agents act only as agents of the passenger in all matters relating to hotels, sightseeing tours, restaurants, all forms of transportation and other services which may be included in these tours. United Travel Group, Inc., purchases these services from suppliers and other independent contractors, without warranties and representations from them and thus such services are not subject to its control. The right is reserved to substitute hotels of comparable status and to make any changes in the itinerary where deemed necessary or caused by airline schedules.
While all precautions are taken to ensure passenger safety and enjoyment on these tours, United Travel Group, Inc., and/or its agents shall not be liable for: death, injury, delay, loss or damage arising from any cause and in any manner whatsoever; change of itinerary; acts of terrorism, acts of God or government; neglect, accident, error or omission caused by any of these suppliers or independent contractors, their employees, or their representatives; or, any event beyond the control of United Travel Group, Inc.
All baggage is carried at the passenger's own risk, and United Travel Group, Inc., reserves the right to exclude certain baggage at its discretion. UTG reserves the right to accept or decline any passenger on any trip, before or during the trip should such person's mental or physical condition impede the operation of the tour or the rights, welfare or enjoyment of other tour passengers. In this case, a refund of the unused land services is the limit of UTG's liability to the passenger removed. United Travel Group, Inc. accepts no liability or responsibility for costs incurred as a result of passenger failing to obtain the correct travel documents.
The airlines featured in our programs are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board their planes or conveyances. No airline featured in our program is responsible for any acts or omissions of any supplier of transportation of accommodation other than itself, and accordingly, is not liable in respect of either person or property for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or irregularity, however occasioned, sustained or suffered in or during any package, journey, trip or tour other than while on the airline. All airlines featured, as international air carriers, are subject to international air conventions limiting their liability; the limitations of liability are contained on the reverse side of the airline ticket and form part of the terms and conditions of this package. The passenger ticket in use by all IATAN member airlines, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airlines and the purchaser of these tickets and/or the passenger. The issuance and acceptance of tickets and documents shall be deemed to be consent to these terms and conditions.
All passengers are required to sign a Disclosure of Liability statement prior to the release of any travel documents.
