Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival in Arusha (Kilimanjaro) this evening, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Sleep well tonight. Tomorrow you depart on a most exciting safari.
Lying on the gentling rolling foothills that cascade down from the ever-present Mount Meru is the bustling and vibrant town of Arusha. Day 2 Arusha-Lake Manyara | Meals: BLD
You can sleep late this morning. After lunch, join our fellow travelers. Depart Arusha and pass through the Masai Steppe filled with many picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. At the town of Makuyuni you turn North West and continue the journey up through a scenic escarpment that brings you to your lodge, perched on the edge of the Rift Valley with stunning views over the distant Lake Manyara.
Nested on the rim of the great Rift Valley, with stunnig views over Lake Manyara, Mount Meru and on a clear day, Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge is set on pristine lush green gardens and local vegetation with over 130 species of bird.
Lake Manyara Kilimanjaro Lodge is the ideal place in which to base your northern safari experience. The Ngorongoro Crater, Oldeani, Lake Eyasi, Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Highlands is just a short drive from the lodge.
Sitting around the ouside fireplace watching the sun setting over the Great Rift Valley and listening to the humming of the birds the background is a fitting way to end the day, and preparing you for your sumptuous dinner feast.

Day 3 Lake Manyara-Serengeti | Meals: BLD
Spend the morning game viewing in Lake Manyara National Park, viewing the abundance of game within the park. Thanks to the wide variety of habitats found inside Lake Manyara National Park, game is plentiful. Be on the lookout for the graceful impala, the mischievous baboon and much more. Have lunch at the lodge before leaving Lake Manyara behind and driving to the Serengeti. Your journey takes you across the stunning hilly countryside of the highlands and then to the vast plains of the Serengeti, arriving at your tented camp later this afternoon.
The new luxury camp, Ole Serai, is ideally located within Central Seronera area of the famous Serengeti National Park in Tanzania around the vicinity of the famous Moru Kopjes and Lake Magadi. The Camp site is perched between the Rongai Hills & Nyaroboro Hills, a few metres away from the banks of the Mbalageti / Seronera River having an abundant variety of resident wildlife (including all the Big 5) as well as a Hippo Pool located only a few metres away from the camp.

Day 4 Serengeti | Meals: BLD
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives today. The Serengeti is famous for the big cats. Thanks to the large food supply provided by the plains game, the big cats are also found in large numbers. Cheetahs love the kopjes as they provide excellent vantage points for spotting prey. If you are lucky you might spot the fringe-eared oryx or the shy klipspringer. Watch the rocks for the rock hyrax...the closest relative to the elephant! Bird lovers will be busy checking off species from their list. Look for the Ruppell's longtailed starling, Griffon vulture, kori bustard, ostrich and the colorful lilac-breasted roller - to name just a few.

A highlight awaits you this morning as you depart by 4x4 to explore what is commonly referred to as the World's largest natural wildlife zoo. After breakfast, you'll descend through the early morning's mist and 2,000 feet into the crater with a picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater is the World's largest intact volcanic caldera and is also one of the World's seven natural wonders. Due to its size and diversity, the crater floor is comprised of several distinct habitats, ranging from forest, swamps, lakes and springs, to open grassland and some sandy dunes. It's an awesome wildlife experience. Afternoon return to the lodge in time for dinner and overnight.

Leave Ngorongoro after breakfast and head east through the highlights, past wheat plains and coffee plantations. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch and an afternoon game drive in Tarangire National Park. You'll spend time near the Tarangire River, which attracts a wide array of wildlife coming to quench their thirst.

After breakfast, your journey will pass through the Masai Steppe filled with many picturesque African villages as well as maize, coffee and banana plantations. Upon arrival into Arusha where a day room is available for you to freshen up before your departure this evening.
