Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Johannesburg
Arrive in Johannesburg today. Walk a short distance to your hotel, situated at the airport terminal. The evening is at leisure.
Overnight: Airport Sun Inter-Continental
Day 2: Johannesburg-Maun-Kanana
Make your way back to the airport this morning for your flight to Maun, where you will be met and assisted to your light aircraft flight to Kanana camp, set in the Kanana Concession. The annual floods transform parts of this concession into a true water paradise, offering guests the best of both worlds. At certain times of the year guests can experience magnificent game sightings during drives as well as the unique experience of exploring the delta's beautiful waterways by boat. You may actually enjoy the breathtaking spectacle of the water visibly rising around the camp's raised teak decks.
Your luxury camp has eight spacious safari tents, well spaced from each other to afford privacy, yet remain within comfortable distance from the main camp area.
Overnight: Kanana Camp

Day 3: Kanana
Activities include morning and late afternoon game drives in open safari vehicles, with afternoon game drives often continuing into the evening. Alternatively you may explore the crystal clear waterways by Mokoro or motorboat, and enjoy the magnificent variety of birds, plant and reptile species found in the area. Birding is spectacular, and Kanana hosts a seasonal heronry that teems with activity, a Kanana highlight which converts all visitors to avid 'twitchers'. Guided bush walks are highly recommended as is fishing for tilapia, African pike and sharptooth catfish.

Day 4: Okuti
A light aircraft flight takes you to Okuti Camp, set alongside the Maunachira River which flows through Xakanaxa Lagoon within the world renowned Moremi Game Reserve, Okuti is built amidst the wilderness of one of Botswana's prime game viewing regions.
Okuti comprises of five twin-bedded mosasa ( ancient tribal word for house of reeds), each with en-suite bathrooms, indoor and outdoor shower, hot and cold running water and flush toilet. The honeymoon unit features a double bed, bathtub, indoor and outdoor shower. An additional two family units consist of two bedrooms which share spacious bathroom facilities - ideal for families in this child-friendly camp.
Okuti's spacious curved mosasas are located on raised teak decks with river views.

Day 5: Okuti
Situated in the heart of the world-renowned Moremi Game Reserve, guests can experience unhindered views in specially-designed safari vehicles. Moremi Game Reserve is rich in wildlife, and its consistent year-round game viewing makes it ideal for the first time visitors to Botswana. Guests can also explore the Okavango Delta waterways by motorboat, and the areas open lagoons and winding channels make it a birder's paradise, complete with herons and storks in the breeding season.

Day 6: Shinde
Your light aircraft flight takes you to your last stop today - the classic and intimate Shinde Camp nestled on a lush palm island in the heart of the northern Okavango Delta.
Each of Shinde's eight classic safari tents are strategically positioned to offer splendid views either of the Okavango Delta's mysterious waterways or open grasslands. The camp's unique main area comprises a multi-tiered dining room and lounge which is set under canvas under the shade of ebony and mangosteen trees.

Day 7: Shinde
Shinde offers both water and land activities year round. Motoroboats or mokoro provide a chance to experience the incredible bird, plant and reptile species found in the aquatic habitat of the Okavango Delta. Game drives provide opportunities to soak in the teeming wildlife in the area. Guided walks are also available. Walking in Africa's wild areas is the only way to truly appreciate the natural environment. While game viewing from a vehicle allows one to see more animals as you traverse much greater distances and get much closer to animals safely, there is nothing as awe inspiring and humbling as observing wild animals on foot. Many smaller species of plants and insects, tracks and signs are all easily missed when in a vehicle. The slow pace of the walk and interpretative skills of your guide will open your eyes to a new and fascinating world. Game walks are not hikes; they are slow comfortable strolls meant to provide you with a chance to experience the wilderness at a natural pace.and if you like to fish - why not try your hand at fishing for talapia and tigerfish?

Day 8: Shinde-Maun-Depart
Your journey ends far too quickly today as your light aircraft flight brings you back to Maun where you begin your journey home. Or, why not extend your tour into South Africa or Zambia?
