On arrival in Johannesburg today, a warm greeting awaits you at the airport. Spend the night at a nearby airport hotel.
Day 2 Kasane-Chobe National Park | Meals: BLD
Welcome to Botswana! Fly to Kasane this morning where you will be met and transferred to your luxury lodge in the Chobe Forest Reserve. Settle in freshen up before heading out on your first game drive. Chobe National Park is known for its large elephant herds.
Perched up on the edge of the valley, the view of the Chobe River and the open floodplains from the vantage of your private room and plunge pool is unrivalled in the area.
Ngoma's thatched buildings are all made from natural materials and blend seamlessly with their surroundings. Ethnic fabrics, building material and artefacts provide a local touch. The lodge is also positioned to give guests unsurpassed views over the legendary Chobe River with many opportunities to see elephants, zebra and buffalo grazing on the floodplain.
The central area of the lodge houses the reception area, lounge, dining room, bar and a plunge pool. Get ready for exciting game viewing, as you spend two full days exploring one of Botswana's most impressive parks - Chobe National Park. A boat trip along the Chobe River affords unique viewpoints of game, as you can observe them coming to the riverbank for water. Large herds of elephants - sometimes with the cutest little ones in tow - arrive for a drink and a bit of cooling off. Watch as the crocodiles sunning themselves scan the riverbanks. When you switch toyour safari vehicle, keep your binoculars handy, because the bird life is equally amazing as the mammal life. You'll be out all day today, stopping for a picnic lunch at a nice spot.

You'll quickly see how fitting that name is as you witness more than 150 million gallons of water crash to the gorge below. Your walk takes you alongside the Falls, stopping at vantage points along the way to get a different perspective and great photos!

Day 7 Hwange National Park | Meals: BLD
Transfer by road into Hwange National Park. Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe and has one of the highest mammal diversity of any national park in the world. You will likely see impressive herds of buffalo and elephant, but you might also spot one of the other 100 species found in Hwange: dwarf mongoose, bat-eared fox, spotted hyaena, eland, roan antelope and even white rhino. Your time is not structured in Hwange - you can select up to 4 game viewing activities each day.
Situated on the Eastern Boundary of the famous Hwange National Park in a 5 square km area, The Hide is one of the few private camps in the National Park itself.
Accommodation is in 10 large East African style luxury tents under thatch, all overlooking the main waterhole. Each tent has its own en-suite bathroom, consisting of shower, hand basin and flush toilet along with a small teak dressing table and most importantly, piping hot water at night and in the mornings. All tents have been mosquito proofed and have free standing fans. The spacious bedroom areas are very tastefully furnished with solid Zimbabwe Teak furniture and each are individually decorated. There are 7 twin-bedded, 1 double and 2 honeymoon tents. The honeymoon tents have an additional outside bath where guests can relax whilst enjoying the stunning views.

Birdlife is equally impressive in Hwange and you might spot the Red-billed Spurfowl, Cut-throat Finch and Southern Pied Babbler. During the summer months, the resident birds are joined by migratory birds like Southern Carmine Bee-eaters, Broad-billed Rollers and Abdims Storks. The Hide has the best of both worlds - while it is located within Hwange National Park, it is also surrounded by a private concession, which allows activities you might not find at other camps. You can relax in the morning and game view in the afternoon or perhaps do an early morning game walk. Whatever you choose, you will not be disappointed.
