Djuma - named from the Shangaan word meaning "roar of the lion" - is part of the world-renowned Sabi Sand Game Reserve. This reserve borders on the Kruger National Park. There is no dividing fence between the two reserves and therefore DJUMA's 7000 ha is part of the vast Kruger National Park ecosystem.
Bush Lodge is a comfortable family lodge with eight thatched chalets all with en-suite rooms, air-conditioning, overhead fans and mosquito nets; two viewing decks and a magnificent swimming pool.
Breakfast at Bush Lodge is a full English buffet. Lunch is a simple affair: with hot and cold dishes, and afternoon tea includes fresh bakes. Dinner is a four-course meal. Sumptuous dinners are either served in the dining room or under under the African sky, around a roaring fire in the boma.
The safari experience here is unique in that we do not only concentrate on the Big Five, but you can also learn about the history of the reserve and how the Tsongas once lived on this land alongside the animals.
