Day 2 En Route Arrive in London early this morning where day rooms are available until you continue on this evening’s flight to Cape Town. Day 3 Arrive Cape Town Welcome to Cape Town, where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. Day 4 Cape Town (B) Stunning sights await today as you wind along the rugged coast line towards Cape Point. Stop at Hout Bay and then continue to the Cape Point Nature Reserve. You’ll see where two oceans meet before driving to Boulders Beach for a delightful visit with the penguins. Return to your hotel later this afternoon. Day 5 Cape Town (B) Walk along the waterfront, take an optional tour to Robben Island or simply relax and soak in the views - the choice is yours on your day of leisure. Day 6 Cape Town-Oudtshoorn (B) Our picturesque drive out of Cape Town takes you on South Africa's version of Route 66 to scenic Barrydale where we stop for tea. Then it's on to Oudtshoorn, the “feather capital of the world”. You’ll learn alot about the ostrich industry on a guided tour of a farm before continuing on to the hotel for the remainder of the day. Queens Hotel Day 7 Oudtshoorn-Knysna (B) Our first stop this morning is underground in the Cango Caves, a remarkable natural wonder. Then our drive takes us via the Outeniqua Pass to George. From here, we travel via back roads, past indigenous forests and even a ghost town before we arrive in Knysna later today. Knysna Log Inn Day 8 Knysna (BL) A cruise on the Knysna Lagoon gives you a unique view of the “Heads” - two great sandstone cliffs which guard the mouth of the lagoon. Visit Featherbed Nature Reserve where you’ll have a chance to soak in the spectacular views of the town below. There is time to enjoy the walking trails and have lunch before returning to town. Knysna Log Inn Day 9 Knysna-Johannesburg (B) Our drive takes us through Swellendam and Hermanus, arriving back in Cape Town late this afternoon. A 2-hour flight takes us to Johannesburg for the night. Day 10 Johannesburg-Djuma Private Reserve (BLD) An exciting two days are in store as you fly to Djuma Private Game Reserve, next to Kruger National Park. Kruger is a place of superlatives -- 300 types of trees, 500 species of birds, 147 mammal species and five major rivers. Later, enjoy a game drive in open vehicles. Day 11 Djuma Private Reserve (BLD) The joy of staying at a private game reserve is the opportunity to enjoy game drives in open vehicles. If you are lucky, you will spot all Big Five during your stay. Day 12 Djuma-Depart (B) After a leisurely morning, fly to Johannesburg where you join the overnight flight to London. Day 13 Arrive USA Arrive in London early this morning and continue on the USA-bound flight, arriving later today. B= breakfast, L=lunch, D=dinner
