Day 1  Depart USA
Begin your journey today as you fly across the Atlantic on the overnight flight to London.

Day 2  Enroute
A morning arrival in London gives you much of the day to relax or wander around on your own. Later this afternoon, board the overnight flight bound for Johannesburg.

Day 3  Arrive Victoria Falls
Touch down in Johannesburg this morning and clear customs and immigrations formalities before you connect to the scheduled flight to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Welcome to Victoria Falls! After a warm greeting at the airport, you will be transferred to the grand dame of Victoria Falls, the Victoria Falls Hotel - your base for the next three nights. The remainder of the afternoon is at leisure to relax and enjoy the facilities at the hotel. You're just minutes from Victoria Falls and you might hear the crashing of the water as it cascades into the river below.

Day 4  Victoria Falls (B)
Rain slickers are in order this morning as you visit the "Smoke that Thunders", famous Victoria Falls. You'll quickly see how fitting that name is as you witness more than 150 million gallons of water crash to the gorge below. Your walk takes you alongside the Falls, stopping at vantage points along the way to get a different perspective and great photos! Later this afternoon, a visit to a nearby village provides insight on local traditions. You'll have an opportunity to talk to families that live and work in the village and learn about their lifestyle. It's a fascinating peek into a different way of life.

Day 5  Chobe Excursion (BL)
Get ready for exciting game viewing, as you spend the day exploring one of Botswana's most impressive parks - Chobe National Park. A boat trip along the Chobe River affords unique viewpoints of game, as you can observe them coming to the riverbank for water. Large herds of elephants - sometimes with the cutest little ones in tow - arrive for a drink and a bit of cooling off. Watch as the crocdiles sunning themselves scan the riverbanks. Later, transfer to a safari vehicle for game viewing by land. Keep your binoculars handy, because the bird life is equally amazing as the mammal life. Enjoy lunch before returning to Victoria Falls.

Day 6  Victoria Falls-Hwange National Park (BLD)
A light aircraft takes you deep inside Hwange National Park to your luxury camp. Hwange is perhaps most well-known for its elephant population, but the park is also filled with a wide variety of other plains game. Settle in and enjoy lunch before enjoying an afternoon game activity.
Makalolo

Day 7 & 8  Hwange National Park (BLD)
Set in the heart of Hwange National Park, the Makalolo concession brims with wildlife. Hwange National Park is the largest game reserve in Zimbabwe and has one of the highest mammal diversity of any national park in the world. You will likely see impressive herds of buffalo and elephant, but you might also spot one of the other 100 species found in Hwange: dwarf mongoose, bat-eared fox, spotted hyaena, eland, roan antelope and even white rhino. Birdlife is equally impressive and you might spot the Red-billed Spurfowl, Cut-throat Finch and Southern Pied Babbler. During the summer months, the resident birds are joined by migratory birds like Southern Carmine Bee-eaters, Broad-billed Rollers and Abdims Storks.

Day 9  Hwange-Okavango Delta (BLD)
A change of pace today as your light aircraft flight takes you via Victoria Falls and Kasane to your choice of camp deep in the Okavango Delta. Botswana offers one of the finest wildlife viewing experiences in the world. The country is about the same size as France or Texas. Three quarters of the country is technically a desert, making the Okavango Delta even more incredible as it is a wetland within a desert. Settle into your camp and choose an afternoon game viewing activity.
Day 10  Okavango Delta (BLD)
Depending on the camp you chose, you might enjoy a game drive on land today, or you might focus on game viewing by water. There is something very magical about gliding through the water in your mekoro, silently observing animals as they come to the river to drink or watch the birds. Watch for hippos as they wade into the channels.
Day 11  Okavango Delta-Depart (B)
Your adventure comes to an end today as your light aircraft flight brings you back to Kasane, from where you begin your journey home, via Victoria Falls and Johannesburg.

Day 12  Arrive USA
Arrive in London early this morning and continue on your homeward-bound flight, arriving later today.
