Settle into your hotel and enjoy an afternoon at leisure. Day 4 Cape Town There are so many things to see and do in Cape Town. A full day excursion is included today - you choose which excursion you'd like to do. Perhaps a full day in the Winelands or a full day out to Cape Point? Or, focus on the history of South Africa with a fascinating cultural tour, including visits to Robben Island and District Six. (B) Day 5 Cape Town The day is at leisure to walk along the waterfront and indulge yourself in some shopping - or relax poolside. Day 6 Cape Town-Private Game Reserve (BLD) Fly to Mpumalanga Airport this morning. Depending on your choice of accommodation, you may drive or fly to your camp or lodge in Kruger National Park. Later today, be ready for the excitement of coming face to face with a big cat, elephant or other striking animal as you embark on a game drive. Day 7 Private Game Reserve There is a lot of excitement on tap today as you enjoy both morning and afternoon game drives. Kruger National Park supports more than 147 mammal species and more than 500 bird species. If you are lucky, you might spot all Big Five today - can you name them? (Elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion and rhino). (BLD) Day 8 Private Game Reserve-Johannesburg (B) Fly to Johannesburg today, where the remainder of the day is at leisure. Day 9 Johanneburg-Victoria Falls (B) Fly to Livingstone and your hotel along the Zambezi River. Later this afternoon, enjoy the glowing sunset as you cruise on the Zambezi. Day 10 Victoria Falls (B) A highlight awaits as you visit the "star" of the area - Victoria Falls. The Falls are over 5500 feet wide and more than 328 feet high. Perhaps most impressive is the sight (and sound) of more than 1 million gallons of water per minute crashing into the gorge below. Later, visit a nearby village where you have the opportunity to experience village life that has been virtually unchanged over 300 years. Day 11 Victoria Falls-Chobe or Okavango Delta (BLD) Choose from two exciting game viewing areas for a 2-night stay. Chobe is Botswana's third largest wildlife area and takes its name from the Chobe River. It is perhaps most famous for its elephant population and you can often see herds of more than 300 at a time. The Okavango Delta is an extraordinary labyrinth of channels and rivers that floods seasonally, creating one of the most diversifed and rich game viewing areas in the world. Whichever area you choose, your afternoon game viewing will be rewarding. Day 12 Chobe or Okavango Delta (BLD) Game viewing activities available today depend on your choice of accommodations. You might enjoy a game drive or perhaps game viewing by water from a mekoro or other watercraft. Birdwatchers will delight in the more than 400 species of birds found in Botswana. Look for heron and ibis along the water; search the reeds for Redfaced Cisticolas. Day 13 Chobe/Okavango Delta-Depart Enjoy a final look at the African sunrise this morning before traveling to Livingstone (or Maun) for the flight to Johannesburg. Connect to the overnight flight to London. Day 14 Arrive USA Arrive in London this morning where you connect to the USA-bound flight, arriving later today.
