When choosing a vacation, one size does not fit all. Some travelers prefer to stay in moderate accommodations and others prefer to "splurge" on deluxe accommodations and more tour inclusions. Our Traditional Collection makes it easy for you to match your style of travel to the perfect tour.
Value Plus tours are designed to provide outstanding value with basic "creature comforts". Accommodations on Value Plus tours will always have private facilities and will generally include hotels or lodges that are rated as 3 or 4 star. While they may be located outside of the city center, they are clean, comfortable and provide outstanding value. On some Value Plus tours, you may be able to upgrade portions of the program to a First Plus or even Premier Plus level - giving you maximum flexibility to "splurge" your way.
First Plus tours provide outstanding value as well, but add more "creature comforts" to your trip. Accommodations will generally be in 4 or 5 star properties, depending on the city and what may be available. (Sometimes, we will use the same hotel on a First Plus and a Premier Plus program). First Plus tours will have more included features like more meals, transfers may be by private car rather than motor coach and more sightseeing may be included. Like Value Plus tours, on some First Plus programs you may upgrade individual elements to Premier Plus level if you like - or even swap some elements to Value Plus level in order to achieve your perfect holiday.
Premier Plus tours are designed to provide you with the best possible accommodations and touring experience at exceptional value. Hotels and lodges are generally 5 star and above and are selected for their service, quality and location. In many cases, lodges or camps will be small and intimate - some accommodating just 10 or 12 guests in total. Wherever possible, transfers and sightseeing are by private car, giving you maximum flexibilty to see and enjoy the sights (Game drives, however, are not private unless specifically requested. In this case, there may be a surcharge, as vehicles are limited at lodges and camps.)
No matter what level you choose, you can expect the same attention to detail for which UTG is known. You won't find a more flexible tour operator.
