Hwange is also one of the best parks for game viewing in Zambabwe. The area surrounding Linkwasha has some of the most active boreholes in Hwange, attracting large herds of plains game. With such a plentiful food source, predators are never far away, making game viewing extremely exciting.

Day 3 & 4  Chobe National Park | Meals: BLD
During your two full days in Chobe, there are a wide variety of game viewing activities to enjoy. Thanks to its location in the Chobe Forest Reserve, Ngoma is one of the few lodges in Chobe where you can enjoy a night game drive. Game viewing by water on the Chobe River is a must while you are here. A game walk is also fascinating and shows you a different side of the reserve. Chobe National Park is probably the best-known of Botswana's national parks. It was the first national park in Botswana, it is the country's second largest park and it has one of the most diverse populations of wildlife of all of Africa's parks. But it is probably Chobe's elephant population that draws the most interest and attention, as not only does Chobe host the largest concentration of elephants in Africa, but they are part of the longest surviving continuous elephant population on earth.

You may spot lion, leopard and spotted hyaena. Bird watchers will delight in Hwanges varied bird community. Along with typical Kalahari birds like Kori bustard, crimson-breasted Shrike and red-eyed bulbul, the plains are alive with pipits, larks, coursers and capped wheatear. Raptors like martial eagle and the rare red-necked falcon are also present.

Day 8 & 9  Hwange | Meals: BLD
Two full days at Linkwash are filled with game viewing. In additional game drives in open Land Rovers, you might want to take a walking safari. Hwange was proclaimed a national park some 80 years ago and hosts one of the densest concentrations of game in Africa. The varied landscape of Hwange ensures great game viewing year-round. Large herds of elephant and buffalo dot the plains. Wildebeest, zebra and eland are abundant. And of course, with such large numbers of plains game, predators are never far behind.
