Spend a week on a guided tour through South Africa before jetting off to Cape Town for a few days.

Your guided tour begins in Johannesburg, where you join your fellow travelers and begin your motorcoach journey into Mpumalanga. Three nights here gives you time for 2 game drives in Kruger National Park, along with a full day along South Africa's beautiful Panorama Route.

Then, travel through Zululand and the Kingdom of Swaziland where you witness the cultural side of the country. Game drive in Hluhluwe, South Africa's oldes t game park and take a boat trip on St. Lucia before leaving your guide and heading to Cape Town for 3 nights.

While in Cape Town, spend a half day exploring the city and taking the cable car to the top of Table Mountain, along with your choice of a full day tour to the Cape Peninsula or Cape Winelands.

This tour can be extended to add the Garden Route -- or Victoria Falls and more.

Welcome to South Africa! A friendly greeting at the airport and you are transferred to your hotel in nearby Sandton. The remainder of the evening is at leisure.

After a leisurely morning, set out on a half day tour of Soweto. You know the name. This bustling township brimming with over 2 million people has a tangible sense of community and history. You'll stop at the Kliptown Open Air Museum, where the Freedom Charter was adopted in 1955. Close your eyes and imagine the sounds the Regina Mundi Church holds in its walls - site of many secret underground meetings of then banned political parties. Pass Mandela House and stop at the Hector Pieterson Museum.

Day 3  Mon Johannesburg-Mpumalanga | Meals: B
You are off early this morning, stopping first in Pretoria for a short orientation tour. Contnue on to Mpumalanga. Dropping several hundred feet into the lush subtroical region of the Lowveld, we travel via the historic towns of Dullstroom and Lydenburg. Travel the famous Long Tom Pass, continuing via Sabie into the town of Hazyview and your lodge.

This morning enjoy an included open vehicle game drive in Kruger National Park. Be on the lookout for the Big Five and a wide variety of birdlife. Return to your hotel in time for lunch (on your own)followed by an afternoon game drive.

Day 6  Thu Mpumalanga-Swaziland | Meals: BLD
After an early breakfast your drive takes you through the beautiful countryside into the Kingdom of Swaziland. An interactive cultural experience introduces us to the charming people of Swaziland. Continue through Mbabane and on to the beautiful Ezulwini Valley for a true African shopping experience at the vibrant Ezulwini Craft Market, packed with woven baskets, beadwork and carving.

Day 7  Fri Swaziland-Zululand | Meals: B
Travel into Zululand today, passing traditional round huts and endless vistas. Arrive mid-afternoon at our hotel in the Hluhluwe area. Later, enjoy an afternoon open vehicle safari in the Hluhluwe-Umfolozi Game reserves, famous for its conservation of black and white rhino.

Day 8  Sat Zululand-Durban-Cape Town | Meals: B
Start the day with a boat cruise on Lake St. Lucia before departing for Durban. Hug the lush Kwa-Zulu-Natal coastline enroute to Durban, watching the sugar can fields do their own version of the Mexican wave at the urging of the wind. Arrive at Durban Airport for your flight to Cape Town (not included). (Please book a flight after 2 PM). Upon arrival in Cape Town, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The evening is at leisure.

Cape Town unfolds this morning on your half day tour of the city. First up - Table Mountain. Summit the legendary mountain and then wind your way past the Parliament Buildings, City Hall, the Slave Lodge and the Castle of Good Hope, the oldest building in South Africa. The history of the Bo-Kaap comes alive as you drive through the Cape Malay Quarter, past the pastel colored homes that line the streets. Last stop - the diamond cutter. Will you be taking one home?

Day 10  Mon Cape Town | Meals: B
Depart this morning your choice of a full day tour to the Cape Peninsula or Cape Winelands. Choose the Cape Peninsula and see for yourself how this spectacular southern tip of Africa became known as the "Fairest Cape." Drive along Chapmans Peak to the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and its scenic viewing point. Stop at Boulders Beach to see the African penguins, and then travel through the naval port of Simon’s Town. Simon’s Town is situated on False Bay and is rich in history, character and atmosphere. Or, spend the day meandering around the Cape Winelands, sampling wines that are among the finest in the world.
